Chicken is not considered red meat BUT processed chicken such as chicken nuggets ARE considered processed meat and come with many of the health problems of red meat!
A study ( from Harvard School of Public Health with over 100,000 were followed for up to 28 years and it was shown that with each daily serving of red meat, there was an increase of dying by 12%. And in the case of processed meats, each daily serving increased the risk of premature death by 20% ! (Please refer to article for study links)
Multiple studies have shown a link between eating red or processed meats and increased risks in several cancers (including breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer)!
